What happened
Houthi officials arrested Muhammad al-Jarmoozi at his home on 8 February 2016. His family heard nothing from him for two months, until a former detainee said he was held at Zain al-Abdeen mosque in Hiziyaz, used by the Houthis as a prison.
The family was subsequently allowed a brief visit, and he was later transferred elsewhere. Human Rights Watch documented that no formal charges had been brought when it reported the case in 2016.
