Al-Rawdah fuel station attack kills Layan and her father

What happened

A Houthi missile struck a fuel station in al-Rawdah, Marib, on 5 June 2021, followed by a drone explosion that set waiting vehicles ablaze, according to an Associated Press report translated by Yemen Shabab Net.

The report cited the UN human rights office’s spokesperson reporting at least 21 deaths, including two-year-old Layan and her father, and included family and survivor accounts. It also recorded Muhammad Ali al-Houthi’s claim that a military site was targeted, without supporting evidence provided to the report.
