What happened
Gunmen identifying themselves as Ansarullah stormed a meeting at Ibb Garden Hotel on 13 October 2015 and detained at least 25 participants. The meeting concerned delivering water to Taiz; detainees were taken to Political Security in Ibb.
Mahmoud Yacine told Amnesty International that he was beaten and given electric shocks during interrogation. Amnesty also documented Ameen al-Shafaq’s disappearance after transfer from a facility known to his family and unimplemented release orders.
