What happened

The Houthis abducted Fouad Ahmad Jaber al-Hamdani from a demonstration on 31 January 2015 and held him for thirteen days in four locations. He told Amnesty International that captors restrained and beat him until he lost consciousness and coerced a written confession.

Researchers observed deep bruises on his lower back. After release he was left on al-Zubairi Street, unable to move until a passer-by helped him.
